The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences annually organizes teaching workshops to provide new ideas for faculty members to enhance the learning experiences of students as they prepare to become leaders in society.

The Cultural Triangle is the most significant cluster of cultural institutions in Brooklyn. These include the Brooklyn Museum, The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Brooklyn Library and Prospect Park.

20 students worked together across disciplines to address the "wicked problem" of dam removal, including addressing stored sediment, fish passage and habitat, flooding, energy generation, and public space.

Development of strategies to make the Broadway corridor in Manhattan from Madison Square Park to Union Square park more pedestrian oriented and safe. This would also enhance economic development

This project, working withthe National Park System, NPS, considered new resilient landscpe methods in response to seal level rise and catastrophic sorm events.

Graduate students in Landscape Architecture considered re-development options for this last large parcel on Manhattan's west side.

Graduate students in Landscape Architecture and Real Estate engaged in re-development strategies for the new Cornell Tech campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City.

Being able to communicate scientific information is a skill that need to be learned. There is no better way to practice than to become a teacher, and educate students at all levels. I train both graduate students and undergraduates how to become good teachers, we discuss pedagogical methods, read books and journal articles about teaching methods. By exposing this new generation of scientists to modern teaching methods we don't only teach them how to become better communicators but we make them more competitive on the job market.
